OUR STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY'S MISSION STATEMENT

We provide opportunities to support the ministries of First Christian Church which seek to do God’s work in the church and beyond. Offerings are used to support local and global ministries, meet church expenses, and provide emergency assistance for our neighbors in this community and all over the world.

The principals by which we make our offerings:

Freely

Joyfully (2 Corinthians 9:7 – Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver.)

In proportion to income (1 Corinthians 16:2 – On the first day of every week each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come, no collections will have to be made.)

Generously (Psalm 37:26 – They are always generous and lend freely, their children will be blessed.)

Our offerings do not end with money, but are also realized with the giving of the talents and time God has given us.

“While the ministries we are called to do not happen outside the active presence of God’s redemptive activity in this world, certainly, the transforming life and ministry of the church is also utterly dependent upon all church members remaining faithful to a personal and corporate life of stewardship; a radical relinquishing of our selves, completely, to the generous possibilities of God in this world.”

WANT TO GIVE?

WE APPRECIATE YOU!

Acts 20:35 – In everything I did, I showed that by this kind of hard work, we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
